multiplayer LODs
Non essential to read : Hey, I've found in the discord people talking about " Lod " that can be load with chunky for exemple... So logically I can share my " Lod " to a friend and he can use if to load the whole map, good ! Is this the folder in the screenshot ? Sorry if somebody already asked, I didnt found it, If there as, just send me it 👉 👈
Essential to read : How can I upload my pre generate Lods in a server so everyone who install the mod will have accès to the DH view without needing to load the chunks themselves or even having to share a 20GB DH file with them
Thanks in advance !

That should be the right file
Don’t think there’s a way for your friends to have the LODs without also generating it themselves or you sharing the 20GB file with them
To share it with friends I just uploaded it to a google drive folder and shared the link to the file
:this:
You either share the file or they have to generate it themselves
how?
i've given ym friend the save file
and hes put it in his saves folder
/lodstored
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
^ there the lod files are located
give them your friend
im using a local network (hamachi basically)
do they just need to put this file
that would just be one dimension
yeah just the overworld?
oh
basically im playing singleplayer
multiplayer even
but on a local network using essentials built in thing which i think port forwards my ip
what would i share with my friend
the distanthorizons.sqlite file?
yeah, and the other files named similarily for the other dimensions
and where woudl he put it?
i shared with him the whole save file already which should have the .sqlite file in it already right?
cos he just put that in his saves folder and joined my world but the lods weren't loaded for him
no idea right now how LAN or the essential stuff works, so no idea where to put the LODs
There’s a folder for multiplayer
Your friend will need to put the LODs in the multiplayer file corresponding to your server
we dont use a server, he's joining through lan basically
Oops
Anyways just wanted to revive forum
And see if some1 can update me on answers
