A suit jacket with flap pockets and jeans

TL;DR Is this linen sport coat with flap pockets too formal for jeans? I am shopping for attire for a summer wedding. It's a "western wedding", so the groom said that the expected dress is
Jeans. White shirt tan tie and jacket. Tan jacket. Idk what kind. Whatever kind fits I guess. Maybe a western style but not set on that.
So I'm struggling. I already have a pair of dark wash jeans, but the struggle is finding a tan, summer-weight sport coat. The best I can find is this linen sport coat from Todd Snyder (https://www.toddsnyder.com/products/linen-sutton-jacket-sand), but I'm worried that it looks too formal for jeans. It's textured so it is more casual, but I really wish it had patch pockets. The included picture is my best mock up with the planned jeans. I'll pick up a linen shirt from Proper Cloth. Thoughts?

plenty of folks here wear jeans with a blazers, myself included.

nah that will look great. It looks like Spier doesn't really have anything. I might do a shirt that's not linen. Normally I'd recommend a western denim shirt in a light wash but they seem pretty explicit about the outfit

I don't think flap pockets are a deal-breaker. patch pockets might work better as they are little more casual, but I don't think it's really a big deal. If you are open to it, look for a blazer on eBay. You can probably get one for <$100 rather than $500

the fact they didn't specify sportcoat makes me think a tan trucker jacket could be cool

A trucker would be way cool, and I have a Goodfellow one I wear regularly. I'll bring it and see what the vibe is.
