UNABLE TO FETCH METADATA
Have installed iris installer 3.2 universal jar fabric+iris and for some reason shows this. I have previously downloaded iris installer on same device just a week ago and it worked fine. for some reason i had to delete it and now im getting this issue when i try to install this again. FYI I DO HAVE A NORMAL GOOD STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION

I'm from your neighboring country (Malaysia) and the installer runs fine...
i installed the iris installer on the plane tho
but it shouldnt matter right?
Maybe because I have my DNS set to Cloudflare's (
1.1.1.1).
I never trust my ISP's DNS anyway.that's the fix for the iris installer

By the way, my ISP blocks Duckduckgo for some unknown arbitrary reason. That's why I'm using custom DNS instead.
i installed sodium from modrinth just fine but for iris it says that DH compatibility wont work and i kinda need DH

no no it says on the modrinth web page that - "IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE NEW DISTANT HORIZONS COMPATIBILITY, THIS IS NOT IT."

the modrinth version doesn't have DH support
it's not really important. It's just that your Internet Service Provider is blocking the iris installer from accessing github and changing your DNS fixes that. Simply installing fabric is a simpler fix though

if you read the channel I'm linking you to you will have everything you need to play with Iris+DH
- Open up Settings,
- Go to Network and Connection (I think that's how it's worded).
- In the menu, you should see an option button that says "Properties". Select that.
- In the new page, scroll down until you see a bunch of information about your networking. Select Edit.
- Do not touch anything else, only look at the one that says "Primary DNS" and "Secondary DNS".
- "Primary DNS" set to
1.1.1.1,
- "Secondary DNS" set to 1.0.0.1.
- Save, then see if it works.i have already read that yesterday. MY problem is unable to fetch metadata when opening iris installer and without opening that i cant do anything else
