Screen won't wake after sleep
Hey y'all π - Running this as my desktop OS right now, and have a problem where when I wake my computer from sleep, the screen doesn't wake up but stays black. Reconnecting the screen doesn't seem to wake it up either. I'm pretty linux noob and haven't had much luck solving this myself - any ideas?

Happens in both X11 and Wayland
Persists through reboots :c
Some related seeming info from Reddit searching for fedora issues similar says maybe APU related, but only using a CPU with no iGPU
(Ryzen /Nvidia)
Pretty sure this is a well known bug at this point, related to the kernel version used
You'll just have to wait until it's patched. It shouldn't be too long
If you rebase to a testing build, do you still get the same issue?
Should be fixed
Do let us know, unfortunately timed kernel bug that affected Fedora as well
System update didn't fix, but rebasing to testing seems to have done the trick!
Thanks for the help y'all π
Nice! We would have that kernel on stable but there's sleep issues on some handheld that need to be fixed first
I would disable automatic updates for the time being as we will be testing Fedora 40 builds on there soon and those aren't guaranteed to work as well
I can ping you when it's time to switch to stable
Done - thanks for the inform
Sorry to necro this, but this issue has come back after the most recent updates
