Did I buy the right suit?

This is SuitSupply’s Navy Havana Suit Pure S150s Wool. $1099 I’m 6’2” 180lbs. Suit size 40. No tailoring yet. Did I spend too much on this suit? How is the fit? - The side tabs are fully tightened. I should probably take the pant waist in slightly. Should my jacket have a flap pocket vs the current style? Should I find pants with belt loops? Is the material too delicate for my use? (2-3days /wk) Are there any comparable brands you would recommend?

The suit fits nicely at first glance, its hard to see how it really fits with the vents still closed. The pants look a bit too tight around the butt because the pockets are flaring outwards As for price and material, you're the only one who can answer that question

It fits well as a slim suit. Do you want a slim suit specifically? It's a manner of personal taste but I think a more standard cut would look better

would agree that even as a slim cut suit the pockets flaring mean its too tight

I dont plan on buying another suit for at least another 6 months. So don’t know if the fabric is too delicate and will wear down quickly. It seems the pockets will always flare that way because I have generous fabric around the waist & thighs. Don’t know if this video helps.

I’m unsure. I do not like tight clothing but also I’m slender so I don’t want to be swimming in fabric

If I were in your shoes I'd return it

I cannot explain exactly why the pockets flare like that even when you look like you’ve got enough fabric at the waist and thigh, but I fear it has to do with the cut/pattern of the trouser in general. A suit like this will probably look fine/good to the majority of folks but if people are more familiar with menswear, they would be able to tell the fit isn’t right. Like GSH I would also return if I had the choice. Are you planning to order online or try something on at the store first? Spier and Mackay are a common recommendation at a similar quality and price point but unless you live in the Toronto area it’s online only as far as I know. They also have slim cuts but might have suits with trousers that work better for you.

I’d return. The pants are far too large in the waist but too small in many other areas. I’d be surprised if you could sit down comfortably. The pockets flare because of the excessively slim pant leg most likely
