Is the rise on these too long?

I got these MHL cotton drill trousers at a sample sale and I’m a bit unsure of the very long rise. I normally wear high rise trousers between 12-13 inches. These are a bit longer at 14 inches and I wonder if they make my proportions look weird? Do they elongate my torso too much or is it all in my head? In the pics I am wearing them at my navel but they still feel like they have a bit too much of a drop crotch. If I hike them up any higher they touch my ribs and definitely look bad. II feel like maybe these trousers are cut for a taller person with longer legs. I’m 5’9/175cm with a true 31 natural waist and usually wear a 28-30 inch inseam if that makes any difference.
