Does Gramicci Pants work for shorter guys
I am 5'6. Mostly prefer size 26 on my bottoms and 27inches on my inseam. I have been eyeing Gramicci OG pants in chinos and tobacco colorway. Though I am confused about their fit on me. They are selling size S of those pants which has 32inches inseam (is it really that long?). I have seen couple inspo where people cuffed these pants and it worked but it never looked that long to me. So just wanted to confirm if the size S will work for me and if the belt attached enough to keep it tighten my waist?

Are you sure on these measurements? 27-32 cm inseam would be... very short for pants
Oops. I meant inches. I will correct it
yeah you can cinch the belt as much as you want. My inseam is around 29" and I think my gramiccis are L bc I wanted them to be oversized
Why oversize tho? So you can cuff them or you just want them to run baggy?
I just wanted a larger fit and to sometimes actually climb in them

here's me in mine. probably a different model, also a large, for a more true to size fit
Nice fit. Though the pants looked different than the one I shared. I wonder if its a different model.
Is this the Original G pants?
pretty sure they're these. Cant be certain, I got them second hand

Looks similar to the one I want except the corduroy part
I also size up dramatically in gpants. But any decent tailor should be able to shorten the inseam and maintain the taper - these look better big
What about this loose tapered model?
How do you want them to look on you, rather than on a model?
Somewhat fitter and straight for casual look
I genuinely don't know what you mean by that. Have you got examples?
I'm 5'5" and have a few pairs of Gramicci pants.
Loose tapered fit is pretty big in the thigh and they already come with a pretty short inseam out of the box. They're actually the only pair of pants I haven't needed to get hemmed. Aesthetically it's a pretty GORPy vibe, especially in my case with the tobacco and olive cord fabrics.
If you want a straight fit, the Camp Ground pant is pretty solid, though you'll need to see who still has them in stock. Those are gonna be way more of a workwear vibe. It's a heavy duck canvas fabric with a double knee.
I have a really short inseam for my height (5'8"-ish) and I have two pairs of G pants. I hemmed my Size Ms, which I bought before gaining some weight, and my Ls are unhemmed.
Black - M, unhemmed

Do you have a pic in them? I have tried Uniqlo relaxed anke pants. They have similar roomy thighs as of gramicci one and they look weird on me at thigh area. So I want to avoid that if they will fit similarly
As per the site, both S and M have same inseam so I may need to get it hemmed. It definitely looks good on you
Is Uniqlo the best parallel to find this style in a bigger (40"+ waist) size?
Manresa makes an XXL in their Wallace pant, size chart says 38" but I'm not sure if that's unstretched or not since they have elastic waist. I'd assume that it is relaxed and not stretched. Earth Studies climbing pants in 38" look like that's unstretched and should pass 40" but they're not exactly cheap, so could be a risk.
Feels like there's gotta be others though.
Uniqlo does provide sizes upto 3xl atleast in my country. Though the inseam length is something you will have to watch out for. Uniqlo is known to provide clothes oriented for shorter people.
Ty both!
Found a Manresa at a solid price! Ty for the help.
