Maybe a one person problem..?
Hello, when I went to this website there was a problem when I had decided to download it because it is my first time playing Minecraft on the PC/Windows. There has been these constant messages popping up saying that "This file maybe harmful to you/or your device, would you like to continue to download?" I do not know if this is a one person problem or a global problem to everybody. If so I would like a simplified answer please! (Because I am one for all dumb and cannot understand big words and I am Two, Very protective of my information!) If it is a problem with the browser I use DuckDuckGo.. So I do not use Chrome or Google..
Summary: Is this download a Virus or not? And if so should I download it and risk my computer?

Downloading any file ending with the
.jar
file extension will give that pop-up. These files, for the most part, are not that harmful if you're downloading from a reputable source like Modrinth, CurseForge or even directly from the developer's HTTPS webpage.
Unless you're downloading from an unknown, shady and/or known harmful websites, you're fine, in theory.Oh, that's make a ton of sense now. Thank you!
