the easiest fix if you will leave it with this design, is to center the flag and not the flag+text. That way the flag will align with your silver medals and the text will be slightly offset. and, you might try making your glass effect more like the apple spatial computing 'glass', which has even a stronger frosting. That would reduce some of the bg flag visibility and finally, for ease between desktop and mobile layouts, I tend to gravitate towards cards with more vertical than horizontal, you might give that a go and see if you prefer them too

an interesting effect, to make the back less busy, could be to use a radial gradient that's transparent in the center, and fades to the background color this will also solve issues that you will find with some flags, like nepal's flag that thing is 2 triangles on top of eachother or, perhaps, just reduce the brightness of the background entirely and honestly, im not sure id this is any better than a list you just need someone with a name suficiently huge to break the design the medals are ... fine i would try to make your own, so it looks consistent with all browsers and fonts or use an emoji-focused font, for example

Here are a few suggestions 1. There is no negative space, ( the screen is completely filled with information, there is no empty space anywhere. ) This makes it really hard to concentrate on a single thing. 2. Text is really inconsistent. 3. It's hard to differentiate between the score and name. 4. Few minor stuff like alignment and text size can be improved.
