DH Render Distance does not override Minecraft Render Distance
I am on Multiplayer, Minecraft version 1.20.2, mod version 2.0.1-a, launched with CurseForge.
In the Minecraft Video Settings my Render Distance is set to 32, and I can't set it any higher. In the DH menu the radius is set to 128. Rendering is enabled.
Only round about 32 chunks around me are shown (yes, I have explored more of the world than that with DH active, it has recorded these chunks, since when I move I still have the same radius around me loaded). The outer chunks are from DH, so disabling DH leads to far less chunks (It works there). But still my render distance from the normal minecraft settings seem to be the limit for DH rendering.

Oh, I just love computers:worksonmymachine:
I have now added all mods back: It still works. I have no clue what changed, but now it works as intended.
Thank you for your patience @majo24 , good luck with finding your problem @kazurai , I will mark this as solved....

So only chunks are rendered, in which either you are currently in with your vanilla render distance, or you were previously in with your vanilla render distance? Or am I misunderstanding?
I believe DH works fine, but only for a render distance of 32
Isn't the 32 render distance your vanilla render distance, meaning it only shows vanilla chunks and doesn't work? Maybe a screenshot could help me better understand
You are corrrect, but since I am on a server even with a 32 render distance and DH disabled, I could only look 12 chunks or so. When I enable DH, more chunks get loaded in all directions, but nowhere near 128 radius. Increasing 128 to 200 does not change anything as well.
(Sorry if I explained it weirdly :c)
If you move in some chunks around, do the chunks which aren't in your render distance anymore dissapear?
I just tested: Yes. I moved about 700 blocks and where I stood before is not visible anymore
Are you using shaders?
Not that I know of. This is the list of mods used
Im not sure what the problem is. You can try in singleplayer and check if it works, if not, try with just distant horizons
It does not work in Singleplayer either, here I only have 32 render distance, without anything happening from DH (makes sense, in a way)
Try setting your render distance to 2
my problem is similar, check it out.
I've attached a video to it.

Welp, now I feel stupid: removing the mods helped. I will write here when I know which one was the problem
/binary
Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
I have studied computer science for that, but thanks lol
Also note: DH cannot generate chunks outside of your render distance when on multiplayer. It can on singleplayer. If you have access to the servers mods, you can try the https://discord.com/channels/881614130614767666/1154490009735417989

Sadly, I don't have access to the servers mods.

Small edit: Whatever happened changed some of my controls regarding the Wynntils mod 🤷♂️
(just for future people with the same problem)
