DH not working with bliss shaders
I've used bliss shaders and it's not working with DH, turning off shaders makes DH work normally, using a different shader pack also work with DH, just when using bliss shaders or any "supported" shaders with DH, it just won't load the LOD'S (fabric 1.18.2)

if this doesn't work, it may help too make sure you have the newest versions of distant horizons ( #links-n-downloads ) and iris shaders ( https://discordapp.com/channels/774352792659820594/1214628406097088584)
I am actually unsure where to get a version of iris beta specifically for 1.18.2, but it should exist somewhere. Maybe through the iris installer?

Tried that and the one for DH and the main.zip one, reinstalled iris 2 times
alright. What is the mod version number of your iris jar file? does it start with 1.6, or 1.7?

ok, the currently developed version of distant horizons shader compatibility is only for iris 1.7.0 beta

Iris + DH only exists for 1.20.1 and 1.20.4 rn

is changing minecraft version impossible for you? I understand that there are mods that have not been updated from older versions, but I personally find just using the latest dev versions of distant horizons and iris overcome the inconvenience of not being able to use older mods. Also, don't break your PC! It's quite likely that once the beta iris versions eventually releases, they will be backported at least a couple of versions
although I wouldn't rely on the backporting. I always would rather older mods update, than newer mods backport

If you're being serious with breaking your PC, well, you'd be surprised by how easy it is to actually break your computer running DH + Iris.
In other news, the download link for Iris 1.7 is in fact in that channel. All you need to do is, well, scroll up until you see links under the big bold text talking about your computer could break.
I was specifically looking for a 1.18.2 release, which appears to not exist

is it just through overloading hardware? does it screw things up with drivers or OS install?
It was pretty early on during the whole DH + Iris. Some person in the Iris Discord server give it a try, saying they can't wait to see their computer dying from testing the mods, and would you know it, they came back saying their computer shut down immediately. They said they heard a popping sound coming from their computer, thinking something might have broken. Turns out the power supply tripped, meaning some kind of overcurrent or overpower protection triggered.
reminds me of the time my dad got me a cheap 600W PSU from a no-name brand...
For that version of Minecraft, you are not getting Iris 1.7, sadly.

yup, I personally use 1.20.4, the OP of this help request uses 1.18.2
Oh here's the funny part. Their power supply is a 550W.
GPU is an RTX 3070ti if I recall. AIB model instead of Nvidia's FE. Would be a different story if it was an FE card.
