wool fabrics that don’t get shiny
I wear mostly worsted wool slacks for work and hate that they eventually get shiny on the ass from where I’ve been sitting at my desk all day.
It seems to be worst with traditional suiting fabrics - it has definitely happened with hopsack and plain-weave trousers. My felted flannel trousers seem to hold up better but I don’t like wearing these in summer.
Can anyone recommend fabric for trousers/slacks that are less likely to do get shiny? Do poly-blends help? Is gabardine or mohair better because it’s already a bit shiny so less noticeable?
I know I could just wear cotton chinos or jeans but I like the drapey look and feel of wool (or wool-like) fabrics.

I cant help on the fabrics, but I do know i was always told to have two pairs of trousers for each suit just for this reason, and becuase the rotation extends the lifespan a lot
