Invites and Disabled User Registration
Hey,
we had disabled user account creation to prevent users to create new accounts and use our system.
But we want to invite new accounts.
Is this possible both at the same time?

Currently, it's not possible to have registration disabled and still invite new users through an invitation link directly within Novu's existing system. Once the
DISABLE_USER_REGISTRATION
environment variable is set to true
, all forms of new user registration, including through invitations, are disabled. This has been a noted limitation and a feature request for an "Invite Only" mode, which would allow this functionality, has been made but it's not yet implemented (1) (2) (3) .
For now, you would need to manually create accounts in the database for those specific invited users as a workaround, or temporarily enable registration, create the necessary accounts, and then disable it again (3) .Glad I could be helpful. Feel free to create a new thread with any new questions you may have.

No, it is not possible at the same time. You can invite as many before setting up this flag as true
