Yonkers
Crash one of Charlie's classes to see what they are wearing
I've heard all the hottest dudes hang out at Alfargos.
No self respecting New Yorker into Fashion is gonna blow up their spots
ebay
Best fashion site place in general in NYC is the bus station out of there
jk i am willing to listen and learn being in a fashion uh, desert, a train ride away đź¤
In all seriousness. Whatever Designer brand you're into has a store. ALD/Supreme/Kith/Noah/Insert New York streetwear brand. Standard & Strange. Self Edge. 45R. 3Sixteen. Knickerbocker. Corridor. Blue in Green. Cueva. Antithesis. C'H'C'M'. Dover Street Market. Namica.
I heard the J Crew on Broadway is pretty hot :kek:
just a quick 3 stops away from bottomless soup salad and breadsticks at the times square olive garden
serious answer lots of vintage and thrift stores are clustered around East Village/edge of Soho
pick your poison with 2nd St, L Train, Buffalo, Cure, Vintage Twin or whatever
IF Soho, Tokio7 in addition to what smiles listed are my usual stops
Atelier for any fans of IF as well
Compact market is cute if not horribly overpriced
I like to go to Drake's and try on the clothes and then look at the price tags and not buy the clothes
Armoury if you're a menswear guy, then stop in the cooler store next door at 180 the store
Wooster St has most of the designers' flagships but đź’¤ for pricing
seconding the armoury, the experience in store there is phenomenal if you're into their stuff at all
There's an Undercover store?
Soho for the chads, Madison for the trads
dover street market is also worth visiting even if you treat it like a museum instead of a clothing store
wait you already said that lol
Alden Madison if you’re a shoe nerd. Carmina is also nearby.
Nepenthes might a good visit as well but never been to NYC so can't say if it's worth or not.
it's a cool shop
Nepenthes is fun
Tokio7 is my fav tho
there's so much in the LES too
yeah i was gonna say just go to soho/east village/LES
for the "nyc shopping" vibes
search and destroy is a cute little shop y'all should check it out
There’s so much stuff in there that you can’t actually look at anything
But that’s fine because their prices are crazy
search and destroy has cool vibes but yeah kinda sucks for actually shopping
huiben shop was really cool when i was visiting a few months ago, they do pop-ups occasionally but also can message them
the guy that runs it, eddie, is super nice
Yeah they’re cool
I'm a fan of dover street market. Haven't been to the NY one in a while though
The one in LA was crazy. Mind blown.
i was very underwhelmed by dsmla
maybe i just liked the nyc layout more, because they had very similar brand offerings
No NYC trip is complete without a trip to the LEGO store
I hope we get these for other cities 🙏
Feel free to suggest cities you'd be interested in.
Use the /suggest feature
Also for shoes: Crockett and Jones has two NYC locations, John Lobb has a location, Leffot carries Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling
You know, if you're in the market to throw down $1500-2500 for shoes
Well, Crockett and Jones is cheaper than the others at $500-1300 lol
There's meermin too in Soho
Ground gripper shoe shop in midtown (carries Alden among others)
And tru-form shoes on the UES
Crownley Vintage (Charlie's recc)
something about getting lost in that building makes it so much special
lots of polo
ending up buying a vintage jpress repp tie when I visited
This is a GREAT guide. Highly recommend checking it out.
But yeah I live in Manhattan and I get 95% of my clothes from eBay lol. Occasionally a good sample sale.
(referring to the Backseat Driver blog linked above)
I look at chicmi.com for upcoming sample sales. a lot are crap, some are great
