Long Distance chunks not rendering with compatible shader (BLISS, DH 2.0)
Hello! I recently saw the new support for Distant Horizons and how shaders were slowly being able to be implemented, however, upon trying out one of the compatible shaders (the latest BLISS shader build from GITHUB) it appears that I am having some difficulty in getting the outer chunks related to DH to load. Without shaders, DH renders alright for the most part, the chunks end up showing up but the terrain generations a touch strange and leaves large-black (and blocky) sort of "void" textures in the map towards the horizons. I am sending more screenshots and a modlist as well, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
(This is a singleplayer world, no error messages displayed or crashes.)

Solution
you need iris, oculus is not a suitable replacement
there's a neoforge port of iris in the works from what i've heard so perhaps shaders with dh will be possible on forge soon™️
Oh! Alright, thank you! Does the issue extend to even being without shaders?
Also due to oculus incompatibility?
your vanilla distance is really high, it's probably generating LODs where vanilla chunks currently are at
eventually it'll make it past vanilla chunks and start generating distant terrain
most people run 8 to 12 vanilla chunks and let DH do the rest up to 256, 512, etc
Understandable, should I just wait and let it do its thing for awhile then check back or try a different location?
This was after I reloaded the chunks using the f3+a command
let it run for a while
it'll continue generating in the background as you play
some people prefer to leave their game on overnight and letting it fully generate a few hundred chunks worth of LODs
Thats- terrifying 🤣 (but valid)
Thank you again for your help! 🛐
