Modpack will crash with distant horizon but works fine wihtout it.
I'm playing a modpack called Create Perfect World on curseforge and i just found out about distant horizons. I wanted to play the modpack with this mod so i added it to the modpack in curseforge. However when i try to open minecraft it would just crash. I removed distant horizons and tried it again and it worked just fine. Is this because of another mod in the modpack? The game version and mod version are the same so i don't know what's the problem.

You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
Is this the minecraft log? Seems more like curseforge log
The file should be located at
.minecraft/logs/latest.log
yea sorry im looking thru the minecraft logs but none of them are for today 4/4/2024
it should be named latest.log
Its typically at the bottom
i dont seem to have anything in .minecraft that was last updated today
not entirely sure how curseforge works, but try right clicking your modpack (inside curseforge) and click on
open in folder
or smth likeoh yup i see it
is this the correct one?
yea thats it
hmm, can't find any error in there
would it be helpful if i send a short clip of what happens when i try to open the modpack
probably not
but you can try
i have 2 mods that aren't part of the base modpack which are tectonic and distant horizons on here
yea, not sure whats causing the problem
have you tried using more ram to launch the pack?
Ram isnt maxing out
Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
yes i have
Man Forge is so bad at printing logs. It is almost [REDACTED] near impossible to read.
@Xackup
Distant horizons is the mod causing it according to what a know rn. I already played without it on and the modpack works just fine
i just tested this
appears to be an error between xaeros und dh
Yes but I mean that way you can figure out which mod is conflicting with DH
Oh ok i'll try that
ok i'll try without xaeros
Tysm it was Xaero's mods that caused the problem. But now im having problems with distant horizons where i have to manually load the chunks before i can see them. Is there a fix for this?
Sounds more like needing to wait before going exploring.
Ah i see thx
chunky is a decent mod for preloading chunks
will probobly work with your modpack
if u want to preload a lot tho u need a kinda beefy computer
thx dude. Btw do u know any other minimaps mods similar to xaero?
