There's definitely a mod conflict somewhere because the crash points into the game's internal class function. Which one is the real cause? cues The Thanos Method here.

try to update java
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
That's not RAM error by the way. That's a stack error.

it is the newest version

Also, FerriteCore works with Distant Horizons. It's a different mod.

is regions unexplored known as incompatible?
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
Likely. It's the first error message that pops up in the logs, but I'm still looking for something else that could lead to the crash if any.

also causes ugly purple blocks in dh
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
That's a missing block issue. Very hard to fix without deleting the saved lod since the function to fix it was not implemented.

sound?!?!?

Previous log reported corrupted chunk. This is concerning. Test your world without Distant Horizons enabled.
Brayden
Brayden•7mo ago
its just a burner world to test
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
You still have Distant Horizons enabled in this one.
Brayden
Brayden•7mo ago
my bad, it works now
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
How does the log looking like then?
Brayden
Brayden•7mo ago
no errors, im going to keep removing mods and then see if it stops crtashing iwth distant I disabled snow real magic and snow under trees and I think it works nvm we vrashed
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
Still reporting corrupted chunk. Hmm. Wait, you have Tectonic mod?

this is whats left

yes
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
Distant Horizons is incompatible with Tectonic.
Brayden
Brayden•7mo ago
IT IS?!
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
You need to disable Distance Generation inside Distant Horizons setting if you want to have both mod working. So many reported their game immediately crashing when both mods exists. My suspicion is that Tectonic has its own chunk generator, which will conflict with Distant Horizons because it also has a chunk generator.

that was unexpected, tysm

hardester•7mo ago
If it still crashes, then time to remove mods until it works. The good ol' classic method of troubleshooting.

my game was also crashing with physic mod pro so I wonder if there was another incompaitibility
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
That one is known incompatible with Iris 1.7
Brayden
Brayden•7mo ago
so that explains another PID error the funny thing is I bought a new gpu thinking that was the problem
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
Distant Horizons have a list of mods that is known incompatible in their server. List is not all encompassing because people need to discover those issues beforehand. Well, you see, somebody almost lost their GPU playing Distant Horizons + Iris. Back when everything is still super early access.
Brayden
Brayden•7mo ago
actually beforehand i had 1.6 maybe physics mod has incompatibility list how did the happen 💀

hardester•7mo ago
Nvidia and their 12VHPWR connector. You probably know the story...

Using this thread to trouble shoot my own list haha - quick clarification, is tectonic problematic even as a datapack?
hardester
hardester•7mo ago
Likely not as, assuming my theory is correct, data packs does not have the ability to mess with the chunk generator.

Anima7ed•7mo ago
mmmmm ill play around rq with it Well, I think its some other conflict. I got both terralith AND tectonic loaded, and its working... Guess its just gonna have to be one at a time lol
