Don't use the installer, install Fabric on its own and then download the mods from #dh-compatibility-faq and put them in the mods folder
i have got a shader pack already how do i activate it?
you put into the shaderpacks folder in the .minecraft directory and then in the shader pack selection window in the game you'll be able to switch to it
ok
im using essential instead of fabric would this still work
i cant find the shader ive put them in the resource pack and the shader file
you put the zipped shader file in the folder called "shaderpacks", NOT "resource packs"
I don't know what essential is so I don't know how it affects installing stuff
it dm
doesn't matter? yeah probably not
so do i unzip the shader
No
it'll just take forever
cant find the shader pack area
do you have a .minecraft folder?
obv
shouldit work?
that's the wrong window, you should go to video settings
then you'll find the shader settings in there
Those who don't have Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed in their system should now use the .exe based installer as the .jar based installer requires JRE to be installed first.
