Poor performance with shaders and distant horizons

My game has literally buggy fps with shaders and distant horizons, on average 20~30 fps. With the same shader and a previous version of Iris (without dh support) my game runs at 80~120 fps...

Distant Horizons severely impacts performance when shaders are on, unless you have an RTX card from the 30 series or up, you're going to suffer

Ouch yeah I have no idea how AMD cards measure up to Nvidia cards

having the same issue with a rx 6800 also, turning off rendering for DH doesn't impact the FPS at all

it shouldn't, LODs don't lag the game much, most of the lag comes from the chunk generation and LOD building

shouldn't the fps get better over time then?

not really, as more chunks render, the shaders will start to lag the game wait I just realized I'm not being consistent the FPS doesn't change when you turn off rendering for DH however the performance is just bad anyway

Same issue on RX 6700XT, will make a post to showcase the difference between Iris versions
