gaps in terrain generation
for some reason there is gaps in my terrain generation that im unable to fix

afaik you only need to wait a bit, they should generate after a bit
you can try increasing CPU Load to speed up Generation
ok thanks
also i got one last question
with shaders im getting only 30fps
is there a way i can further optimise it?
i got 32gb ram, my GPU is rx 6700tx and my CPU is a ryzen 5 5600
not sure about that
i wasnt expecting for it to be this unoptimised
i mean to be fair tho i am rendering alot of things
@majo24 is there a way to temporarily disable distant horizons
yea, in the DH Settings it should be the first setting
cheers
should already be fixed in nightly build if you're using stable release ( #links-n-downloads )
unless multiplayer, then either upping cpu load in dh config, or stay the area a bit longer so DH can cache lods and stuff
Yeah I’m using nightly I’m pretty sure, it’s the one that you use from iris installer
these are the ones im using
30fps is low for that gpu
What resolution are you running at? Also disable distant generation while testing framerate
920 1080
1920 1080
ok
i also tested it on like
a server which has low render distance
all LODS were off
and it was the same
Might be low gpu usage
Do you have vsync or an fps cap enabled?
My friend has an AMD card and those were messing with his frame rates for some reason
my vsync is turned off
thats what i believe
and idont know how to make it use more
Low gpu usage could be caused by a number of things
Usually cpu bottleneck
my cpu was at like 90
@TheNewSky any other tips i should do
to fix bottlenecking
Sorry 90 what
Percent usage or degrees?
cpu
Yes but is that the utilization or temperature for the CPU
the utilisation
Yea then that’s why your frames are low
It’s busy doing something
ye its like this while playing
With DH it’s usually because you have LODs loading in or still generating
If it’s unrelated to DH then it’s prob because your world has something in it like a large farm
i do believe it could be that
but even then
when i have it all disabled
like normally
its still very low fps
ive been testing on freshly generated worlds
Do you have distant generation disabled?
yes
Bc the only thing that could be using your cpu that much on a brand new world is distant generation or the normal world gen
That’s weird
do you want me to screnshare maybe me genrated world adn looking at settings
