Lowering resolution doesnt improve fps it just decreases gpu usage.

hi, so basically lowering my resolution to 1080 from 2560p doesnt do anything besides decreasing my gpu usage. im using the iris-mc1.20.1-1.6.17 and BSL shader v8.2.08. this also happens on other shaders like bliss and complimentary even with shaders disabled too. btw i have 300+ mods installed but i tried to run mc with the shaders only and no mods and its still the same i just got like extra 10-20fps has anyone experienced this too? my specs: rx6700xt r5 5600 16gm ram

What FPS-Limit do you have? Do you have V-Sync or similar on?

This indicates that you’re likely bottlenecked by the speed of your CPU sending data to the GPU This just means you can increase the load on your GPU by raising resolution or shader settings

i think its not bottleneck since cpu is not really reaching 80-90% usage and r5 5600 and rx6700xt is a really good pair

it’s impressive that your CPU is able to reach that much usage, considering Minecraft sucks at multi-threading Typically it will sit below 50%
