Loafers for flat feet

I've always had issues with getting a good fit from loafers, dig some digging and measurements for my feet and found out I have flat feet, and that's what's been causing the gap I always seen in the back of my loafers. Found an article on Reddit where a guy was having the same issue, pics show the gap. He ended up finding a pair that fit, apparently Allen Edmonds Newton, Ventura and Randolph fit flat feet well. I had a pair of AE Randolph's that fit well and now I understand why they fit but others didn't, the last works for my feet. My question is for anyone else with flat feet: What loafers work best for you? https://www.reddit.com/r/goodyearwelt/s/PO8HZPnnha

Big caveat: not American so don't have access to Allen Edmonds, or when I do they're overpriced in Europe. I have similar sizing issues, though not flat feet. Just low volume feet. Found trying loads on helped. Eventually found some Kleman loafers (French brand) which was OK. When I've tried Hurache sands I've found wearing women's are better because they tend to have lower volume feet, I just need to check widths. Often went through Etsy and messaged Mexican or Turkish venders for sizing advice. As you've identified, going in person or maybe eventual MTM is the best bet for laceless footwear like loafers.
