Timberwolf - What do I need to do to interface ...
What do I need to do to interface the Hamlet to my alternator to read the rpm pulses? I thought Google would give me an answer, but I'm struggling a bit to find a simple solution.

You should just need to connect the rpm output from the alternator to one of the digital inputs on the Halmet board
@Matti Airas will confirm, but I think this inputs are good for up to 30volts.
Yup, exactly like that. Connect the W terminal and alternator ground directly to one of the digital inputs. I'd also add an inline fuse close to the alternator to protect the wiring.
Is that solution open source? I feel bad for asking because I know you are selling those boards.
