Timberwolf - What do I need to do to interface ...

What do I need to do to interface the Hamlet to my alternator to read the rpm pulses? I thought Google would give me an answer, but I'm struggling a bit to find a simple solution.

You should just need to connect the rpm output from the alternator to one of the digital inputs on the Halmet board @Matti Airas will confirm, but I think this inputs are good for up to 30volts.

Yup, exactly like that. Connect the W terminal and alternator ground directly to one of the digital inputs. I'd also add an inline fuse close to the alternator to protect the wiring.

Is that solution open source? I feel bad for asking because I know you are selling those boards. In https://discord.com/channels/1170433917761892493/1220825094301941900 I’m asking on how to get RPM data in SignalK with usage of a python script. The script is working and outputs a number for RPM.
