Are there short/cropped style outerwear for Spring/Summer like Uniqlo's "SHORT Blouson Jacket" ?
I ordered this exact green UNIQLO jacket (arrived today).
Nice fit/look overall I guess (can post a #styling-suggestions or here if needing opinions).
Is there anything purposefully cropped/shorter cut outerwear for that spring/summer?
I think my best option that I'd be happy to do is to buy your men's standard Harrington/bomber style jackets & get it tailored if a little too long.
But I wanted to *enquire * about something similar to UNIQLO's.
Is there any that come to mind?
I've had a google rummage (not much luck) + looked at the womens section (might order a few of the latter options).
Thanks :harold:

Is there anything purposefully cropped/shorter cut outerwear for that spring/summer?The answer is no, not really. Just a cropped hem doesn't take a winter or utility jacket and make it better suited for warmer weather. But there are tons of options out there anyway. You don't need to get another jacket and tailor it, especially if you want a bomber. Tons of vintage bombers have a more cropped cut to them, which looks great imo. Don't buy a cheap thin one from uniqlo, just search on ebay.
Just a light weight versions, I guess? Bombers and truckers tend to be more cropped in the body
The Barbour spey jacket might be close to what you're asking about. Seems like it's out of stock online but you can probably find them secondhand pretty easily.
Rule of thumb would be buy from a spanish fast fashion brand. They tend to use lighter/thinner materials. i.e. zara, he by mango, etc. More cottons and linen mixes than cords, heavier cottons, etc
Looks like Barbour also did a collab with Alexa Chung and made some nice cropped, wider jackets. They're super cute but probably pretty expensive even secondhand.
Is my UNIQLO jacket not suitable for spring/summer?
Or even Spring?
I know it was an Autum/Winter release, but I dont think it keeps the warmth in?
Or is it a case or, it's nicer to have that bomber/harrington for Spring/Summer.
But the Blouson is a layering piece for Autumn/Winter?
it looks like a fine jacket, i'm sure you can wear it across seasons
vintage bomber jackets (pointed collar not the rounded one) are typically shorter in length, example https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/british-raf-bomber-jacket-w-liner-dark-blue-surplus/68023?country=US&variant=51555&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw5ImwBhBtEiwAFHDZxyQ1YwXjdGxXnI-Gxqf3bRVTJNqebFPGUSSpQnCKoje4QFV9SAhrbxoCRyQQAvD_BwE
