LOD Chunks are generating VERY slowly
I've made a thread about this before and it still hasnt been fixed on my end atleast, all the LOD chunks are loading INCREDIBLY slow. My specs are a intel-i7 7700k, a GTX 1080 TI and 32 GB of Ram, its also very laggy. i've set the rendering to i paid for the whole CPU but its still very bad, im using the beta build that supports Shaders but im not even using them and its still slow, i have also allocated 12 GB of Ram to the game, if i need to provide anything else let me know

Bonus note, i didnt add any other mods
just the default pack in the iris discord server
So Sodium, Indium and Iris right?
yup
also im pretty sure i talked to you
if i remember correctly
Most likely yeah
oh nvm, it was another moderator
in DM's
he was a mod for iris or dh, dont remember
Oh lol
But try disabling shaders if they're enabled
i already said they arent
Sorry, didnt see that
its okay
im pretty sure i have to do some internal testing
just checking the settings and so on wont help
i've had this problem ever since i installed dh for the first time
Ever deleted the whole config?
the only time the chunks actually loaded at a good and might i even add FAST pace was when i had a oracle cloud server
it loaded pretty well on it
nope
i didnt edit
ANYTHING
its a fresh installation
the quality of the LOD's is also set to minimum
Ive seen cases where the config just messed up the first time it generated, its worth a try
whats the config named like?
or looks like
/config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
can i delete it while im in the game?
No
okay i deleted it and reloaded the game
the chunks now load even slower..
💀
Thats because the default config has the second lowest CPU load setting iirc
Just try setting that to max again
i did
its still the same
How slow is very slow
And are these LOD chunks already generated
Nvm im dumb title says generating
Use task manager or some other monitoring software to make sure it’s actually using your whole cpu
i did
its using up the entire thing
