The IRIS Installer doesn't work

Everytime I load it, it says the same. How do I fix it?

Wait for IMS to chime in. There have been many reports citing the same issue.

This means your ISP or country is blocking Iris. You’ll have to run the fabric installer instead and put sodium and Iris in your mods folder Or if you really want to run the Iris installer I heard installing 1.1.1.1 from cloudflare works

You don't type 1.1.1.1 in your browser search bar, otherwise your browser assumes you typed in an IP address. Search "Cloudflare 1111" instead.

You just get it from modrinth and put it in your mods folder Same as any other fabric mod The installer is only if you don’t have a fabric installation already Or if you’re trying to get the DH compatible version get it from #dh-compatibility-faq

Eh somewhat, but shaders will look a bit out of place due to lack of native integration. At best that is. At worst, well, the game outright crash.

Either way, if that version is pre-DH compatibility the DH chunks will just be invisible If it’s post-DH compatibility the DH chunks will render with vanilla shading

Sadly, those are features not ported over to Iris. Few reasons for that, one of them is that for the most part, it breaks shaders re-implementation.

Try turning off the shaders and see if it still appears.

In case this isn't solved yet I think I found something that "might" fix it Been trying to install it since yesterday It said "The installer was unable to fetch bla bla" So then I tried using pwsh, it fixed, and installed normally

- Move installer to a folder (with no spaces to make it easier)
- Copy the file path (From explorer)
- Open windows powershell (Run as admin)
- type the command "cd<space><right_click>"
    - so the command would be "cd file_path>" -> press enter
- if there's no error on "cd" command, you can type the command "java -jar <Installer file name>" -> press enter

- Move installer to a folder (with no spaces to make it easier)
- Copy the file path (From explorer)

Or, a much easier way, Shift + right click in the empty section of the folder, and select the option "Open PowerShell window here". If you have Windows Terminal, that is also an option.

this is true but an easier solution that might work or not is to update the actual java software because it never notifies u for an update and when its outdated it breaks easily and ive been trying to solve this for horus hours* but complementary shaders had the same problem but in a vid it said that you must check if its outdated or not

I have not personally recreated the issue on my hand as I do not have access to the shaders pack. I have no answer on that.
