Baseline settings?

Does anyone have like a list of things to check over like a baseline setting, and then I tweak from there? I kind of have no idea what I'm doing, in terms of reading what the dialog boxes say, vs results I'm seeing. I am seeing gaps between the minecraft blocks and the distant blocks. Also they take a long time to load, I have the CPU feeding it the beans at "I paid for the whole cpu" setting.

Or a video or a list of things? I have a 3080ti and 64gb of ram, I feel like i could do a lot in terms of tweaking but it feels like im just trying to nail jelly into a tree x'D

Baseline setting is the default settings, out of the box, which is the best settings for existing worlds. For new worlds, if all you wanted is to get large areas generated for screenies, few things to do: - Pre-generate chunks using tools like Chunky (DISABLE Distant Horizons's Distance Generation before running Chunky), - Maximize memory allocation for Minecraft. - Maximize the CPU load settings, - Set your lod render distance between 512 to 1024, - Leave your computer to do its things for at least a whole day.
