essential mod compatibility
me and a friend are playing together using essential, we wanted to try distant horizons together, essential is a mod that allows for friends to join single player worlds, just like bedrock does, my distant horizons looks perfect, i have no issues, my friends distant horizons tho [regardless of the world] looks like this.. when she is join in my single player world

it seems to give her incorrect terain lods
This is a DH issue, not at all Iris related. As far as I'm aware, Distant Horizons is client-side and there basically isn't any way for her game to know what those LODs are until she goes there herself and they load in. If you want a better answer ask in the DH discord 🙂
