New Page only has 2 columns

Hi, I'm using the widgets to create google maps widgets. But here i run into the issue that my page only has 2 columns, only after i add a widget that takes up 12 columns that I can use 12 columns. Otherwise my page only has 2 columns. I'm trying to get 3 widgets on the same row. On the image all of my widgets have a columnspan of 4
