Persist search value in select?

Hi all, Is it possible to keep the search term active in a searchable multiple select dropdown? For instance, with my Associate action below, I'd like to search for 'timber', select an option, add it to the selection, but retain my search term so I can easily add more options related to my search keyword 'timber'. Currently, once you select an option, it clears the search, requiring you to enter the search term again.
