if this still happens on the nightly, from what i can tell 2.0.3 might fix this stuff

Now I'm getting a batching error
more annoying than a few missing chunks
started happening when I installed Tectonic and Terralith (Terratonic)
depending on how good your cpu is, your current cpu load preset might be too high
timing out happens when an lod gen thread takes more than a minute to finish (either it got stuck or your cpu is overloaded)

pre-rendered DH2 chunks seem to fade out before appearing as authentic chunks too
on the 1.20.4 nightly build rn
this is a side effect of TAA in the shaderpack you're using
Try loading a new world, disable chunk generation in DH settings in game. Pre generate the chunks using chunky mod and then enable DH chunk rendering again
not sure if it will work but it might be worth a shot

I just lowered my cpu load

which I thought was reasonable
since I have a Ryzen 7 5800x
but since it's only an 8-core cpu
i guess not
