LoD Colors seem to be off at a distance
Observed: At a distance, some mountains appear green when there is no grass block there
When we get closer, the LoDs seem to somewhat correct the color. And when they enter vanilla render distance, we see the true state of the blocks.
Also, there seems to be a patching effect on the colors as seen in the first image. these diamond shaped patches which aren't actually present in the terrain

iirc whether surface is grassy or not is actually now in the features pass of the terrain gen

When i get far away again, they are fine, and reflect true block color
i've changed only these settings
also, trees seem to not render in the distance
that's what I was about to ask
you are on FEATURES generation mode?
what world gen do you use?
i must be an idiot xd, it's set to surface
it seems to persist tho
so once a chunk is generated it's gonna take some time for them to regenerate
IF current version is set to override old chunks with worse mode

ah so that should explain it
ill generate a new world and see if it's fixed
