Weird rendering issue with textures and colors
Heres a screenshot of what's occuring. I dont know why, but no matter what settings i change i cant get rid of the weird wrong textures and discoloration. I have only the base mods in my mod folder. Maybe its a sodium setting, but ive tinkered with it a bit and nothing seems to help. I think I must have messed something up somewhere but I cant find it

Expected behavior by Distant Horizons. Increasing LOD Quality may help, but you need a very sizeable VRAM for that to happen.
ive never seen this in showcase videos
im on "high" preset. how do i change lod quality?
also, if i cant get the textures to work, can i at least get the right colors for the blocks?
Sounds like that's the option. Increase it to something like Very High or Extreme. Be warned though, as you will increase your VRAM usage at least 2 folds.
did nothing at all
The showcase video have vanilla render distance set higher. For vanilla chunks, you can see the full texture because, well, they're actual chunks. Set the vanilla render distance to something higher like 8 or 12. 16 is greedy and can severely slows down Distant Horizons.
the only thing i want to do is make the blocks the correct colors here. u think its doable?
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Distant Horizons lod chunks have minimal texture. Reason for this so that your GPU doesn't die rendering too many individual textures.
can i change it?
im at 23% gpu util
For technical reasons, you can't.
Look at your GPU memory usage in Task Manager.
im using nvidia overlay to see it
How much VRAM are you using now?
my memory usage is flucutating between 6-10gb tho
let me check
is this one vram?
also that.
its using very little resources, thats why i wanted to change it. primarily i noticed when mountains were rendering with all green instead of brown for dirt, ruining the consistancy
Fair enough. Since there's not much else I could add, try reporting this issue to the Distant Horizons team over their Discord server.
