Looking for red/maroon boots?

Recently saw this pair of boots at Doc Martens (https://www.drmartens.com/us/en/1460-vintage-made-in-england-lace-up-boots-red/p/12308601) and was really excited. However, they were just a bit to bright red for me. Anyone have a rec that is similar, but a bit darker in color? Thanks!

I'd browse ebay and other sites for used/vintage oxblood docs, a color that i guess has been discontinued but should be super plentiful secondhand.

Ooooo interesting, I didn't know they had a darker color in the past.

You might also be able to condition the leather on a newer/brighter pair to darken it - I’m no expert but have seen others do that before.

Yea back when I was into Docs like 10 years ago my friends liked to put black polish on their red boots
