Looking for an alternative to Oree Derbies

https://www.oreenyc.com/product-page/morgan-infantry-lace-up-derby I like that they are chunky, big heeled, and Vibram soled. However, I cannot front the +$400 price tag. I would prefer a pebble letter or just normal leather (not this shiny leather) but I'm flexible. Is this price too high or given that it's ethically made with good construction, it is to be expected? Any tips or a discussion on the shoe would be appreciated

i believe I’m the only person in here who owns a pair I’d say the price is pretty normal for a derby like that as far as cheaper options, I think Solovair might have something similar? Our Legacy definitely has similar options but they’re also gonna be around the same price point, but you might have luck buying secondhand. I see oree and Our Legacy derbies all the time on grailed specifically

secondhand is always an option, but you'll likely look for longer. docs are probably a good budget option. i kinda think the redwing postmans hit a similar vibe as the docs

The problem is basically nothing is going to have as interesting detailing at a cheaper price point. Docs 1461s are the best option, you can just get the double sole/platform model if you want it to be chunkier
