DH 2.0.2-a-dev-1.20.4 is apparently unsupported
Hi, I've just installed Distant Horizons version 2.0.2-a-dev-1.20.4, the latest download available here on discord, to play in 1.20.4, but whenever i load a world a message in the chat appears that says the version is unsupported. The mod, in fact, doesn't load any chunk, even maxing out the cpu srttings and putting the LOD distance at 500. Wich version should I use in MC 1.20.4 with Iris 1.6.17? Thank you in advance

the "unsupported build" message is to inform that you're running a nightly build of DH
and for shaders,

because these shaders aren't compatible
you need the iris 1.7 beta with DH compat + a DH compatible shaderpack

ok but the 1.7 version of Iris doesn't let me launch MC and gives an infinite error

can you send your latest.log? (located at
.minecraft/logs/latest.log)try launching with just DH 2.0.2 and iris 1.7 present, see if that also crashes

if it doesn't crash, do a binary search to single out the mod that causes the crash

Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.

I tried with these mods, so anything other than DH dependencies as Indium, Iris and Sodium, and it still crashes
I think the log is the same but I'm not 100% sure
i don't think there's a fix for cases like this unfortunately. you'll have to wait for both mods to get more stable
(unless sodium and indium are somehow causing the crash but i doubt that)
I understand and no, I don't think the problem is either Soudium or Indium but Iris, since with the 1..6.x version it worked, just giving the dh unsupported build message

I found two version that are "snapshotmc1.20.4" and are said to be for 1.20.4 in the iris server but none of them seems to work, could you drop me the file here please? I'm getting really confused, there are a lot of builds and it is not very clear wich one is for wich version of other mods
