minimaps don't use shaders
because there's no point
I'm guessing you ran the iris installer and kept iris install selected

I wanna ask if I can use iris with a small tiny winy cute minimap
if you want to use fabric mods with iris rerun the installer with fabric install selected
and then put the mods you want in your mods folder

I mean JourneyMap certainly doesn't allow raytraced renders of the map, maybe there are other maps that do
you can use shaders with minimap mods installed
does that come with iris shaders?
No no, I mean that you can have mini map mods installed and use shaders on or off and it won't break the minimap but that minimap will never have realistic lighting itself
only the actual world around you as the player, the mini map just displays the world in a flat fashion and that's it
I apologize if i didn't understand a point but to be in the same page, am I going to use iris or other loaders?

iris doesn't affect minimaps in anyway
they are seperate, shaders don't affect minimaps, mini maps don't affect shaders etc.
so you can't get realistic lighting on the minimap image itself (the top down view of the world). It only shows a low resolution view of the world

Oooh you mean how do you install Iris or that and any other mods you want to use?
Yeah to make it work with iris
in the Minecraft folder on your computer there is a "mods" folder, you just drop the mods in there and everything will run. There aren't any incompatibilities between Iris and minimaps.
if you want to use JourneyMap, you download the .jar file of that mod and put it in there, you do the same with the Iris mod and run the game
I'll do that then i will let you know how it goes
if it crashes it's gonna be a one in a blue moon chance, I've never had issues using Iris with any other mods, including Iris's Forge equivalent Oculus

Nope you got the Neoforge version, download the one for Fabric
On Modrinth, for example, you can select the loader you want to use for the mod and only the versions made for that loader will come up

Sorry but last question, how do I make my minecraft borderless instead of fullscreen exclusive, I want to multi task easier
like fullscreen borderless, the one that doesnt take that much time to load when I alt+tab
there's a fullscreen button in the video settings, turn it off, apply the changes and if it doesn't work the first time, do it again
I've been having an issue where Minecraft starts in fullscreen even with that option off so I have to enable and disable it again to get it to actually turn off
I did that and it switched me to windowed, can't i make it borderless?
Oh I don't know how to do borderless, I just know that for multitasking if you want to quickly switch from window to window then you should have it set out of fullscreen
I actually don't even know what borderless looks like come to think of it
It's like fullscreen but one doesn't takes you awhile to alt+tab
when in the first place fullscreen actually takes a while when you alt+tab

as long as the game doesn't crash it means everything is working
