Relaxed fit shirt that looks dressy
I am looking for a white oxford-style shirt that is relaxed enough to be comfortable. The ones I have tried are very tight and restricting, any recommendations?

Brooks brother, j press, vintage lands end
Polo (Yarmouth fit). Also, size up
What styles do you suggest?
The neck/sleeve sized OCBDs tend to be good. I know they'll have different fits but you can likely compare measurements and see if the specific cut/shirt will be too slim for you.
If you post pictures or shirts you already have or more specific issues we can probably help more
you might also have some luck with a sport shirt from some of the brands mentioned (brooks bros, j.press)
I don't have a full-body mirror to take pics with but I wanted something that feels and fits like a good denim shirt if that makes sense, but looks clean enough like an oxford
hmm so a shirt like this? (Do not buy one of these they will probably be far too slim if they happen to have your size)
It's made from a denim fabric but in a button-down pattern. Without inspo/outfits ideas it's kinda hard to say what you mean by "dressy" and whether it would be appropriate for the contexts you want to wear it in.

That being said I'm a big fan of a lot of the standard OCBDs from the brands mentioned. The fabrics will be nice and often have good heft to them and can be pressed or can be worn with some slouch. Browse thru some of the fits in #waywt for examples
I am going to a wedding in a few weeks and need a white button down to go with a suit. But usually I am just going to be wearing jeans or slacks and I want something that works for both!
I did come across spier and mckay, was wondering if maybe they would work
I’d just grab a white OCBD in a heftier fabric. I haven’t bought one in a while at retail but I’m sure j press and bb have good options
I wear my white ones with suits and with jeans all the time
I'll check out my local brooks brothers. Do you have experience with charles tyrwhitt? They advertise a lot near me
They're decent for the budget but I'm not their target demographic
I'd prefer to grab something on ebay
Wdym? I have zero experience in formal menswear
On ebay?
I'm a fashion nerd and so I'm willing to put in tons of time, money, and energy to find exactly what I want. CT will be good for you tho I think. It's widely available, lots of options, good return policy, decent price, etc.
Oh yeah I get that. Yeah I just need something easy to go to my friend's wedding. Thanks for the advice mate!
