Is only 40% GPU usage normal?
I have a 4090 and I am using DH and shaders enabled, and I notice that the usage was pretty darn low. Thoughts?

if everything is loading fine in game then thats a good thing
I do notice chunks being rendered by DH missing, is that because those chunks haven't been loaded yet?

if you mean by missing like they arent there yet and eventually get loaded that happens
DH chunks takes a while to load. On default settings, on average you are expected to wait around 5 to 10 minutes before the first chunks becomes visible.
