how do i go over 32 chunks render?
i want to set something like 64 or even 128 but for whatever reason 32 is max, how do i fix that?

it's not a "issues", vanilla minecraft on java don't allow render distance greater than 32 . to go higher you would need mods like c2me or bobby. but be aware performance will drop really REALLY quickly especially with shader
Alternatively the best option is to wait the Distant Horizon mods to be fully compatible with iris. Or if you are willing to get your hands dirty, try out the alpha build of iris and DH in #dh-compatibility-faq

You can use this, you just have to go into the condigs and raise the max render distance
