I have a question that Im not sure ifs been asked before...apologies if it has...I'll be working on a project with a team of people through some sort of revision control where I push my work once done....how does dash work in this case...they can view the dash elements like scattering, curves etc I presume and they also cant change anything since they dont have dash installed...but do they remain in procedural format on my end so I can make revisions if I need to?

You've got it all right! 🙂
You maintain full control, and everything you do with Dash that is procedural will remain procedural. They'll see all your work, without having the ability to procedurally edit it, unless they have Dash locally installed.
One thing to note, is that Dash saves its scene data in a ".json" file. So if your map is in project/content/maps/starting_scene.umap, you'll have a project/content/maps/starting_scene.json file that sits besides it. In case your colleagues or yourself work on multiple machines, make sure that the json file is also synced in your source control program.
gotcha...It would update with every push on my end...so that should be ok....thx
and one last question if I decide in the end to turn everything from procedural to static then everyone including me will be basically stuck with the last iteration...correct?
they'll have everything as instances, until you push your conversion changes, at which point they'll also see those changes 🙂
thank u !👍
