Is the hemming too much?
Had the shirt hemmed by a tailor. Don't know why but the shirt looks too short to me.
I feel like I ruined my shirt. Also, attached a picture of the shirt before it was hemmed.
Please suggest.

Looks fine
Also, I think the jeans in the first pic looks a bit bulkier compared to the shirt. Slimmer fit jeans may suit better for this shirt. What do you guys think?
I would not go slimmer
Does the bottom of the shirt look fine? I mean when you compare with the 2nd pic, the original apple cut shape is not there.
I'm thinking of asking my tailor to cut the bottom in the same shape.
What do you recommend?
a curved hem doesnt work with a shorter shirt because nothing will cover your sides
it really is fine like beans said
Do you think the shirt should have been slightly longer? Maybe 3/4th down the fly or till the end of the fly?
I don't know why but I feel looking like a teenage kid after the hemming
I'm in my late 20s btw
It's fine
Maybe try leaving the bottom button un-buttoned
The shirt looks better to me
What's your height?
I feel the same with some of my un-oversized pieces. I think it's because they are smaller than adult retail size, but they fit me well proportion-wise.
the original long hem and lack of a chest pocket makes me think it's a dress shirt, which traditionally would have a long hem as it's meant to be tucked into your pants
a (casual) shirt meant to be worn untucked would have a shorter hem by design, somewhere around the middle of the fly / middle of your butt in the back; in that sense i think it's fine
and regarding the jeans i don't think the two pictures give a suitable comparison - no cuff on the new picture, large cuff on the old picture. it's probably worth doing the cuff up again to get a more vis-a-vis comparison
(i personally would not wear jeans with that shirt in general because i think it's a dress shirt but if you want to do so, the looser fit is better especially with the untucked shirt and sandals)
