Missing chunks in distance
any advice (see screenshot)
worth mentioning no performance problems, just the missing chunks
Solution:Jump to solution
Best way to fix this is usually to increase CPU load, disable distant generation and keep the LODs that refuse to load in ur render distance for a bit

(This isnt the issue, Im just curious) Did you disable transparency?
And try increasing CPU load and going over those chunks again
i dont remember if in this screenshot i had disabled it or not, i tried changing a lot of settings to fix this but always these same chunks consistently didnt appear, even after restart of the game
and i did try increasing the cpu load too
but i didnt actually walk to these chunks, I figured it should not be necessary

would i have to do this every time i load the save?
walk to those chunks i mean
its a bit impractical especially in survival if so
No
Refuse to generate would be a better term
Once they have generated they should just always load properly on restart
I will try it then
I think pretty much going to the area does help, I also turned off the distant generation. It's still a bit annoying having to walk everywhere first to render it properly, but, alright.
You only need to disable distant generation for those areas
Its more so DH focuses everything on the area in your render distance
How to do it only for certain areas?
I mean when you have those random missing chunks, you can disable distant generator, go there, generate those chunks, then enable distant generator again and go back to mining and crafting
I see
yep, I've been getting that a lot on a server
did u manage to figure it out?
nope, it still is happening. I messed with so many settings, but to make things worse, i cannot join my city server while using distant horizons. i checked the log, something to do with fabric.
