It looks like assets get duplicated in the library when they are added in another project

@Costantino - CTO will check this (he's in Vietnam, so won't be awake for a few hours π )
Hello, if the same asset is in more than one project, you will see it multiple times yes. When you use an asset from an external project, it will be acquired locally in the current project so youβll see it more than once as itβs now in the external project, and in the current project.
The unified view is in fact just showing you a collection of everything you have. I have already attempted show only one but the solution was not good enough, but you can expect to have an option in the next updates to show only one asset with the same id in the unified view.
That would be good, otherwise the unified view can get messy quickly.
I think bulk editing tags would also be a good addition. Would be useful for vegetation in my case. Adding "European" or "Deciduous" to all assets in a folder for example. Or maybe folders could have tags as well?
The AI also doesn't seem to work well with vegetation. Would it be possible to add a manual tagging option as well?
A unified library is one of the most attractive features in Dash for me. Been waiting for something like this for a long time. π Constantly migrating assets is a pain...
I'll write this down in the feedback section as well.
You can manually add tags since 1.6 last week π―
For 1.7, we'll make sure that features like batch tag edditing are also available π
woohoo
Thanks for the feature requests btw, and keep 'em coming! We want to make this the best content browsing experience out there, so anything you're frustrated with, we're interested in hearing about it π
manual tag without AI computation would also be very welcome π I need to figure out why AI tag is not working for me (for 4+ assets). I opened this issue in anoter post already.
@Sitta I have found a method that doesn't seem to affect performance to hide duplicates only in the unified view, and also you can turn off ML tagging already if you want, is just not very straightforward as in requires the editing of one file. If you want I can guide you through it and also share with you the edit I made for hiding duplicates so you can tell me if works for you without downsides.
sure, that would be nice
I sent you a DM!
