Low GPU and CPU usage resulting in low fps

So My pc specs are: - ryzen 7 5800x3d - RX 7900XTX (had the same issue with an RTX 3080 and an intel ARC a750) -32GB tridentz 4000mhz ddr4 ram (running dual channel slot 2 and 4) - my monitor is 1440p170hz So, when playing SOTF, my gpu and cpu usage hovers around 50%, the clock speed of my GPU hovers around 1750Mhz (normally in games it runs at 2650Mhz) this results in me getting like 50-60 fps, lowering the settings from ultra to very low gets me an additional 7fps more on average, which already tells me there is something wrong. My CPU doesn't have integrated graphics so I can't be using the wrong GPU, game mode is on (With it off nothing changes anyways). I put high CPU priority on Sons of the forest, High performance mode is enabled, any PCIe power savings are disabled, resizeable BAR is enabled in my BIOS. I tried messing with the game files, didn't work, no one seems to have a solution when I google it, only the standard stuff like update your drivers (which they are, I even reinstalled them) Considering I tried this with an AMD, Nvidia and Intel dedicated GPU (and all of them are no slouches either) and my experience every time stayed the same (Yes I uninstalled other GPU drivers when swapping cards) I can find posts dating back to Day 1 early access talking about this problem, has ANYONE found a solution to this? because the bad performance really messes up the experience for me.

This could possibly be a windows/unity issue occuring that isn't too common but happens enough. Try keeping gamemode off in windows itself it really fucks with performance on unity games. May I ask, what windows version are you running? and it could possibly be getting limited by CPU clock speed single core usage sorta deal. At least if your GPU is being limited. If you have a VR Headset plugged in, I would suggest unplugging it and disable any VR programs that may be running * sometimes fixes unity game slow down*. And it seems silly to ask, but in the GPU itself, do you happen to have Vsync turned on? Like nvidia control panel or with AMD version of that? Most games override that setting but it's possible that SOTF is not doing that.

Same issue here, only game that does this. I have a 4080super and a 7900x. Only uses 50% of gpu and get like 80-115 frames depending on what’s going on. Would love to use whole gpu and stay locked at 144 refresh rate

Yours sounds completely normal CPU bottle neck. This game does use more cpu processing than most games and it isnt properly mutli cored either. You probably will see similar issues in other unity games that have heavy physics based systems.
