1. You can install Iris through curseforge, or by getting it from curseforge/modrinth and putting it in the mods folder of your curseforge instance.
2. What mod loader are you using? Iris only supports Fabric and Quilt for now, but a NeoForge port is coming
fabric, but i alr downloaded the iris mod through curseforge and it does nothing
im playing on mac
i downloaded java and then iris of the same version all my other mods are
i found this but i dont know how to place the mods in
Am I supposed to place it somewhere in a finder folder? If so which one?
@Slooshie
I do not know what folder this is. It looks unrelated to curseforge
I recommend the manual method then, which would be getting sodium and Iris from your web browser on modrinth or curseforge
In your modpack you should see a button to open the folder of said modpack. Put sodium and Iris in the mods folder of that directory
Like inside curseforge
@Slooshie
im not sure what to do
I have told you exactly what to do here
Idk bout you but i downloaded from modrinth and you gotta open and install it instead of just putting it mods folder on my end similar to forge installer
by "minecraft through curseforge" you mean that you use curseforge app to launch minecraft?
try right-clicking your profile (on which you want to install iris), then clicking open folder, open folder called "mods" inside of file explorer that opens, then add iris jar here, return to curseforge app and click play
that's for curseforge launcher for minecraft, because i assume that you use it
