in theory? yes
one would need to implement core to work as standalone app
in practice there are no such tools and you have to "generate" them in game
Would that be useful? In theory dh generation is already very resource intensive so a standalone program might not be much better
You wouldn't need to tediously run/fly around and wait in place every so often to generate surrounding terrain, for example, around your base at the top of a mountain
Why fly around?? Just crank up your generation distance
I'm using a limited but still very large map, I know DH is limited with generation
You only need to fly around if youre using DH on servers
