How do I install distant horizons and tectonic into iris?
So, I downloaded iris and distant horizons from https://discord.com/channels/774352792659820594/1204239966784327730, and I downloaded 1.20.4, so from there, where do I put distant horizons and tectonic at?
I read the whole thing and I don't understand where to put it!

When I installed 20.4 fabric, it installed 20.2 for some reason
The testing builds arnt to compatible with other mods and its not recommended to use them with other mods in their current state

Btw DH needs indium to run and iris needs sodium and tectonic needs Fabric API to run
Download indium and sodium and fabric API download all those mods for 1.20.4

I just dragged and dropped fabric api, sodium, and indium into my mods folder, if anyone else can tell me if that was correct or I should have put it into another folder, that would be great!
I did everything Moh has been told to do and this is the result. any advice on what to do next?
After removing the entity culling mod, it launched. Someone in another channel recommended it so I had it in. Hopefully this helps someone

yeah, but no mods
AFAIK, allocating 28GB of RAM to minecraft messes up the garbage collection and degrades performance. For a heavily modded game, I usually allocate 8GB at maximum, 4GB for less modded games. Just a heads up.

Sorry for hella late response, I was at a friends house, but when I loaded up again, tectonic nor DH was installed. I even dragged and dropped them all, aswell as I dragged and dropped fabric api, sodium, and indium into my mods folder
Also, which one do I load up, fabric, or iris in the launcher?

I removed the directory before "AppData" for privacy reasons, just a heads up!
Fabric. You need to take the fabric jar for DH out of the zip
What do you mean by that?
If you don’t know how to properly put distant horizons in the mods folder then you shouldn’t be testing these betas. Read #dh-compatibility-faq

It’s mainly the possibility of causing your PC to crash (blue screen, freeze up, etc.) but no permanent physical damage should occur unless there’s something already wrong like having no thermal compound lol
The “may cause damage to your computer” part is to scare away people who don’t know anything about mods
