Blazer fit check

Bought this off of ebay - the tag was 44R but the measurements suggested it was significantly smaller to the point where it could fit me at 40R and there's a 30 day return window. (Please pretend I buttoned the top button.) Issues I have: 1) is the center length is too long to wear properly? 2) shoulder width vs sleeve length; the shoulder pad is not helping g but i think the shoulder is maybe too wide and the arm is a little too short? 2b) is it worth getting the shoulder pads removed or altered? 3) overall size; eyeballing i think it's a 42R built a little weirdly and while i've had similar jackets altered to size (check #waywt for leap day) i'm not sure the same can apply here? tl;dr keep or toss, assuming that i have access to a skilled and reasonably priced tailor that can do most things

alternative question - does this/could this work as an intentionally oversized fit with adjusting? i can probably work out styling if so.

Honestly to me it looks... great?? Length is perfect, shoulders look good with no divots or messiness It's not slim and not too loose, I'd be very happy with the fit if I were you post another pic with the top button buttoned and bottom button not buttoned to confirm but yeah I think you've got a great fit there

thanks! most of my suiting is slightly to definitely short which i deal with through aggressive styling so a normally fitting suit is crazy but i'll take it đź‘Ť

I see some small stuff. As always it depends on how specific you want to be with these. The stuff that bothers me probably won’t bother you. Overall a nice fit tho the shoulders seem a bit large, the skirt is wonky (not a suit so I wouldn’t get caught up on this), and I don’t like the buttoning point
