i have allowed it to sit and render the scene but it is still the same? is this 512 render distance? it doesnt look like the picures ive seen online. . . am i doing something wrong?
also its doing this. . .
the weird mystery line is showing the correct terrain which is interesting. . .
i generated the chunks aroudn that area and then left, the regular minecraft rendering chunks dissapeared and were not filled in by low LOD chunks. . . strange
yeah something isnt working correctly. . .
this is "64" RD
The clear water pack from vanilla tweaks is known to not work well with DH
As in the LOD water and the real water not looking the same
Also set your cpu load to the max and see if mc is using a lot of CPU in task manager, if not them its probably not generating anything for whatever reason
My CPU seems to be at 100% even when it’s on minimal
And ty for the water fix, that’s wasn’t very much of a concern for me though. But ty
What kind of CPU do you have
Ryzen 9 5950 X
this is what my 512 looks like for your reference so you can tell when its done. if you go to
dh settings > advanced > debug > debug wireframe
and enable debug wireframe rendering and show world gen queue you can see where dh is in the process of loading. if you see a bunch of blue chunk markers after enabling it then you probably just need to wait. I set my CPU load on "I paid for my the whole cpu" and it took about 3-4 hours to fully generate the 512 distance.your cpu is way better than mine though so it theoretically shouldnt take as long
thank you, i will look into this tomorrow when i have time :Kaypho1L:
that looks dope ASF btw, i hope i can get my game to look like that lol
is it usually this slow?
with this CPU?
im scared chat :TE_HUH:
this is pretty fast ngl
oh :PauseMan:
its weird how its using 100%cpu but only genning like 2 chunks at a time
what can i turn down/off to make this faster?
idrc about quality, just want to see far :TE_trollSmile:
tried changing the "wold curvature" setting and it instacrashed my game lmao
thats enough messing around for today
time for rust :TE_Aware:
you can try the nightly build its apparently slightly faster but obviously unstable
nightly build also fixes those grid pattern on oceans
@Kaypho | @ in replies Do you still need support or can I close this issue?
you can close it. . . i think
